British photographer Richard Powers is internationally recognised for his distinctive approach to architecture, interiors and the built environment. Based in Nice, France, on the Côte d’Azur, he works throughout Europe, the Americas and around the world, photographing exceptional homes, significant architecture, distinctive interiors and hotels for leading architects, designers, publications and publishers.
He is renowned for capturing residential design with striking clarity, atmosphere and a strong sense of place.
Powers began his freelance career immersed in the natural world, honing his craft across Asia, Europe, Australasia and the Americas. When he returned to London, his focus shifted to the world of design, where his distinctive eye and technical finesse quickly earned him assignments from leading design studios and top-tier shelter magazines.
Today, his editorial portfolio includes the U.S. and European editions of Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, WSJ. Magazine, The World of Interiors, Vogue Living and other influential design publications. Beyond magazines, he collaborates closely with architects, interior designers and luxury hotels, as well as renowned publishers including Thames & Hudson, Rizzoli, Penguin, Phaidon and Vendome.
