british photographer Richard Powers specialises in interiors, architecture and the built environment. shooting worldwide travelling to over 80 countries, he has been based in the south of france for several years.
Early in his freelance career Powers focused on the natural environment, developing his skills with a camera extensively throughout asia, europe, australasia and the americas. Once back in london his eye turned to the design world within which he rapidly established himself with commissions from design agencies and shelter magazines.
today his editorial client list includes us and european editions of architectural digest, elle decor, wsj, world of interiors and vogue living and other quality design magazines. he also works directly with architects, interior designers, hotels and publishing houses such as thames & hudson, rizzoli, penguin, phaidon and vendome. with over 25 coffee table books to his name and 30 years of experience powers is a true force in his field, bringing equal amounts of enthusiasm, attention to detail and zen calm to his work.
